Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay fighter from Thailand as well as mixed martial artist competing with the Flyweight Division within the UFC. She is older than her fellow UFC Fighter and Former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started as a Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina Shevchenko won her second prize in 2007, with a bronze award in 2008. She also won the gold in 2011, and was crowned the 2017 IFMA World Amateur Muay Thak Champion. Antonia's professional debut was in 2003. She won in 2012 an event called the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship In 2016, she won it was the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tsidblad Keskikangas, who was a participant at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won the fight via unanimous decision. Antonina shevchenko won her first professional MMA fight in 2002 against Anara bayanova during KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan. She prevailed in the second-round TKO and also won her subsequent two bouts at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled a record of 3-0. Shevchenko was forced to take a break from MMA in order to focus on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui with a unanimous decision. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by unanimity. In 2018, she left the league and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her impressive strike power when she clinched by the body with knees. Following this victory Antonina received an UFC contract. Antonina did her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko suffered defeat to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision after she won her first bout. Antonina returned from her defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke. She was also awarded the prize of the night in the fight. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in the next three fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski but fell to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee.
